At All Times... Praise

This is my favorite song. Alaba a Dios - Danny Berrios.

This is the chorus to the song:

                                                                                 Oh alaba, simplemente alaba,
                                                                                 Estas llorando alaba
                                                                                 En la prueba alaba,
Estas sufriendo alaba
No importa alaba,
Tu alabanza El escuchara

Dios va al frente abriendo camino
Quebrando cardenas sacando espinas
Manda a sus angeles contigo luchar
El abre puertas nadie puede cerrar
El trabaja para los que confian
Camina contigo de noche y de dia
Levanta tus manos tu victoria llego
Comienza a cantar y alaba a Dios

This is a rough translation in English:

Oh praise Him... just praise Him
If you are crying... praise Him
If you are facing a trial.... praise Him
If you are suffering... praise Him
Don't worry about these things... praise Him
He will hear your praise!

God goes before you making a way!
Breaking chains and removing thorns!
He sends His angels to fight the enemy with yo
u!
He opens doors that no one can close!
He works for those who trust in Him!
He walks with you both night and day!!
Raise your hands your victory is coming!!!
When you start to sing... And PRAISE GOD!!!!

God lives in the praises of His people. (psalm 22:3) When we praise Him we are putting Him first. He fights for us when we give Him that place in front of us. In 2 Chron 20, King Jehoshaphat was facing a very large army that was coming against him. The people were scared. Then a man named Jahaziel began to prophesy. He said in verse 15 do not be afraid for the battle is not yours, but the Lord's. Jehoshaphat and all of Judah began to praise and worship God.

21 And when he had consulted with the people, he appointed those who should sing to the Lord, and who should praise the beauty of holiness, as they went out before the army and were saying:
“Praise the Lord, For His mercy endures forever.”

22 Now when they began to sing and to praise, the Lord set ambushes against the people of Ammon, Moab, and Mount Seir, who had come against Judah; and they were defeated. 23 For the people of Ammon and Moab stood up against the inhabitants of Mount Seir to utterly kill and destroy them. And when they had made an end of the inhabitants of Seir, they helped to destroy one another.

24 So when Judah came to a place overlooking the wilderness, they looked toward the multitude; and there were their dead bodies, fallen on the earth. No one had escaped.

All that they did was praise God... and He did the rest. Sometimes we make this Christian life harder than it needs to be. We take too much responsiblity and try too hard when God says that the battle is His. If we learn to rest in Him.
